Singer - Songwriter - Author -
Founding Member of MCC Montana-Great Falls
For 26 years,
Jerry Browning has been writing and singing about Gay and Lesbian Spirituality and Affirmation. His journey began in
Van Nuys, California, where he first attended an MCC Church and since that time, he has written and recorded several albums
specifically for the GLBT Community and other disenfranchised groups to bring healing and affirmation to people who are sent
messages that God does not want them and that they are unacceptable. It is our hope that you will find your own path
of Divine acceptance through his music and that all will realize how much Our Creator really loves them-without exception. Proceeds from the sale of all merchansdise on this page have been designated as a fund-raiser for
MCC Montana-Great Falls.
Jerry's latest CD,
Spiritwind - Solo
to the Moon,
was
released in December of 2009. To hear clips from this newest album, click on the title below:
On
June 27, 1969, the New York City Police, without cause or provocation, invaded a little-known gay bar called the Stonewall
Inn and proceeded to attack the patrons inside. For the first time in memory, the patrons chose to fight back and the result
was five days of rioting. The bravery of those individuals served to open the door to issues of injustice, inequality and
bigotry and served as the springboard of today's Gay Pride Movement. It is with much appreciation, admiration and respect
that this collection of songs is dedicated to those who chose to stand up and say, "Enough is enough," and pave
the way for the GLBT Community to unite.
Rainbowsong is a collection of songs that speak of internal
issues within the community such as denial, coming out, self-esteem, abandonment, infidelity, survival on the street, AIDS
and Pride. Some songs have been previously released, but have been re-mixed and digitalized for this CD. A special thanks
to Steven Kingsland, sound engineer, and Jay Bradlee Hill, Digital Technician, for their work in making this CD possible.
In The Middle Of The Evergreenswas Jerry's first album of GLBT Spirituality. It is a journey from rejection, to questioning the validity of
God's love and acceptance, to the reality that "...I'm a Child of God." It was first released in 1984
and is now available on CD. Cost is $10 per copy with proceeds going to MCC Montana~Great Falls.
Where many people process events in their lives through journaling, Jerry processes
through his music. The Bridgeis a very personal collection of his own writings and those
of others which have served as a bridge to conquer his addiction to alcohol and regain the spirituality he experienced in
his youth. It is his personal "rescuing" album. The cost of this CD is
$10 with proceeds going to MCC Montana~Great Falls.
Legacy-The
First Era is a collection of 26 years worth of writing and consists of the music that people have identified
through personal contact, phone calls, emails, letters and other means, which have had profound impacts on their personal
quests for spirituality. Most talk of personal healing, a new start, a new understanding of God, etc.
These are the songs that have healed hundreds and continue
to speak of God's love, the processes of our quest for God, including mourning our losses, celebrating our victories,
and living day to day in God's care.
"...this music literally saved my life..." ~R. M. - Chesapeake, VA
This 2-disc set of 38 songs sells for $20 with proceeds designated to MCC Montana~Great Falls.
The Pastor said, "I want to do a special service to honor God's creation.
Do you have any special music we could use for that?" And the anal-retentive, tunnel-visioned Piscean undertook
the challenge. In two weeks time he had written and recorded The Creation Suite, a musical
interpretation of the seven days of creation as recorded in the Book of Genesis. This CD, which
includes readings from Genesis before each day's interpretation as well as the music work standing alone, is available
for $10.
Noel Esprit - A New Christmas Spirit is a romp through the traditional
Christmas Carols with a little edge. It was been defined as somewhere between traditional and Mannheim Steamroller.
It originally was an experiment in demonstrating the diversity of Jerry's Yamaha Keyboards, but enough people have requested
copies that it is now available on CD for $10.
In The
Shadow of the Christis a collection of short stories drawn from the Scriptures, but with a focus on the "shadow
people' which Christ encountered. You will meet Roman soldiers, children, blind and lame, and others, who are the
central figures of these stories and get a glimpse of how their encounter with the Messiah changed or impacted their lives. This book sells for $5 with proceeds designated to MCC Montana-Great Falls
"I
grew up in a Christian home, have prayed all my life and attended church regularly, but when I read this book, Jesus suddenly
became a real peson to me..." A. M.-Calgary, AB, Canada
